Scum of the Earth.

First weekly post of the school year and hell do I have a lot to say.

Topic? Pastor Terry Jones.

What. The FUCK. Is this guy's problem!?! He embodies everything I hate about blind radicalists (sp?) and Americans all in one disgusting little package. He deserves to be hung by his toes or have is testicles ripped off. Then again, doubt he was blessed with them as God's way of safekeeping HUMANITY against his sheerly asinine ways. If you know me you know that I don't like a lot of people, and if you know me you know my saying...I hate people, not individual persons. And if you know me even better, you probably know that I am judgmental as fuck and hate a lot of individuals. But here's the caveat; I am only (seriously, no lie) judgmental of personalities. I don't give a flying fuck in space what language you speak, your gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity and what have you. Based on where I grew up I pretty much was raised knowing that at the end of the day you need to accept people for who they are. And more importantly, and possibly the most important thing I believe, is that you shouldn't pass judgement on people. If you are a raging douche, yeah, I'm probably not going to like you. If you hurt to my loved ones? Fuck off before I destroy you. If you're pretentious and think you're above all of humanity? Yeah right, watch me laugh at your sorry ass. But if you're not an asshole or a dumb as, I generally get along with you. And I mean, for example, who cares if you're gay?? There are a lot worse things in the world than loving some one so much that you want to spend the rest of your life waking up next to them, when you worry about their safety above yours, where seeing them smile makes your heart skip a beat. And if that person just happens to be of the same gender as you, so what? You shouldn't be barred from loving one another and having the same privileges as a straight couple. Get married! Have kids! And don't be afraid of being judged for who you are. The same goes for religion, ethnicity, gender, etc etc. And to all those radical evangelicals and other religion fanatics who declaim people based on these traits let me ask you this:

Who made you God??

GOD is the only being in this universe who can pass judgement. As Christians we're taught this. We're also taught that God created all beings and that Jesus's greatest commandment was to LOVE each other. You know what is the most fundamental part of love?? ACCEPTANCE. Why is this such a hard concept to understand??

Jones (yeah, he lost the title of Pastor in my eyes the moment he opened his loud, deaf mouth) obviously doesn't understand. His recent comments on the BURNING OF THE QUR'AN are DISGUSTING. Seriously, I am SOOSOSOSOSO angry right now, I physically have to restrain myself from chucking my laptop across the fucking room. What the FUCK is this guy's problem!!!??? What, did we suddenly revert to the fucking Spanish Inquisition again?!? What's next, are we going to hunt out Muslims and horrifically and brutally murder them if they don't convert?? WHAT THE FUCK!!?!

WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!!!!

You know what Jones?

You're just as evil as the Taliban terrorists.

And again, this concept not only is despicable but just oh-so-joyously illustrates the STUPIDITY of the American people. I was in 6th grade when I saw the towers fall. I watched it live on TV and was shaken. I mean, I was 11 and all the sudden I saw two buildings explode and crumble to the earth. And it wasn't a film, it was real life. And I knew that thousands upon thousands of people died. There was a girl in my class who was in hysterics because her father might have been on one of the two flights that crashed into the towers. I went home that night and sobbed myself to sleep. I painted a freaking memorial cross that I still have in my room. I might not have been directly affected by the attacks, but it's still something that I will always carry with me. It's a part of my national identity and my patriotism and it is an event that is embedded in my American heart.

You know what?? I can separate the man from the religion and the fanatics from the faithful. I know, I know, obviously it's a hard pill to swallow, but the Taliban IS NOT the same thing as the Islamic faith. Have you ever met a Muslim?? Do you know how devout these people are?? How peaceful?? It's like Americans believing that women who cover themselves in the Middle East are oppressed to death. Yeah, it's true in some cases, but just because they cover themselves doesn't make them oppressed. Think about a nun. They cover themselves just as much and our God-fearing nation doesn't even bat an eye and hails the goodness of a nun. How messed up is that?

And you tsk at me for hating people. You know what? Look at history. Even through two or three generations. Look at the people around you. As much as people claim to change, they never do. If it's for the better, than I firmly believe that they've just learned something more about themselves, something that they've always had. But let's face it, most people don't. Why? Because people are weak minded. Because it's hard, probably the hardest thing a person can do, to change.

Goddamned I hope we evolve past this. Change is more than welcome.

At any rate, I suggest you read this article, and compare what Jones says versus the projected leader of the Muslim Center, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Look at what each camp says, and how they say it. I mean, can you honestly say after reading this that the Muslims are out to get us?? If you do, look to your right, see that window? Go jump out it. It's time for a change of mindset for us Americans. Stop herding radicalists and fanatics into the same group as the rest of the religion. I believe that it's the first step for our nation to truly heal from the 9/11 attacks. Show the Taliban that we know the difference between a terrorist and an AMERICAN. Because as much as you might not want to face it, Muslim Americans are Americans too. Why don't we try to stand united with our fellow Americans and exercise the great words of our nation-

Land of the free and home of the brave.
