Somewhere, Something Incredible is Waiting to be Known.

-Carl Sagan. ^^

(If you don't know who this is, 1. Where HAVE you been?? and 2. Go wiki him. Now. Tack tack).

So, I'm obsessed with futuristic gadgets. This probably stems from my love of scifi (we're talking Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica kiddies). Unfortunately I have one flaw...I have no idea how to make any of them work. It's not that I have a problem understanding HOW it works...I get the physics and the math...I just have no freaking clue how to apply my theoretical understanding...major flaw in my intellect. 8( Well, that and I still don't know how to turn on our TV in the basement. How the hell are there 5 freaking controllers for ONE damned television!?!?!? It's unnatural people. UN-natural. Aaaaat any rate, my handicaps don't stop me from freaking out over advances in technology. Like these two break thoughs, which I think are absolutely astounding. Holy crud. Incredible. And something I've been waiting a helluva while for.

Transparent touchscreens.

Holy bejesus!!!

#1. Samsung. Oh how I love thee. Look what the techies over at Samsung created:

Oh. My. GAWD. This is amazing. I mean, this is freaking brilliant. Watch the video, because right now I'm speechless:

This is so great. I just love it. How great would it be to carry this around in your backpack or purse and just pull it out, start dancing your fingers across the touch screen, maybe even a little 3D action (how great would that be?!?), surf the internet (I know, I know, it's all starting to get a liiiittle too advanced for 2010, hell probably for 2100, but I can still dream can't I??)...yada yada yada. I mean, how great would it be if we could get these transparent screens to function as cell phones, for example??

Awesome.

#2. HP. Wow, I never knew y'all had this in you. I'm proud. ^^

And flabbergasted.

So, HP came out with this 'indestructible' screen- flexible and waterproof, two amazing advancements in one amazing product. Talk about portable. Take your technology literally with you anywhere. 20,000 leagues under the sea? Bring it on bitch. Only have a map holder to store your laptop in? No worried mate, just roll that sucker up. It's absolutely stunning. Me likey. ^^

If you guys are drooling as much as I did and are in some serious need of more info, don't worry, I linked the articles to the company names for y'all. Enjoy. :D
