Firstly, sorry about not writing last night. It was a long ass day. To make up for it, I plan on writing a short post this morning and then my usual style snippy post later tonight...which will probably be technically tomorrow morning. Early tomorrow morning.
So, topic of the day? Bleach. I have been obsessed with InuYasha forever now, and even though I've almost finished reading the manga, I still wasn't able to feel any closure because the anime series ended so crappily. But now, alas, the series is finished and I feel an infinite sadness. Seriously, Rumiko Takahashi, I love you. InuYasha is incredible, and if you haven't you should check it out. I mean, it's a little cheesy and redundant at times, but the way Rumiko develops the characters is both insightful and just absolutely stunning.
That being said, I now feel that the manga/anime void in my life needs to be filled. Granted, I still plan on rewatching all the InuYasha episodes (save Ep. 14...) and finishing the manga, but I can only do that so many times. So, I started watching Bleach.
Damn, I'm hooked.
And I'm only on episode 21ish. I can't remember...it was 4:30AM yesterday before I decided I should probably go to bed because I had work at 8:00AM. I know, way to be responsible Holly. Anyways, Bleach is actually pretty interesting. I mean, I've scoped out some of the other episodes (yup, I'm one of THOSE people, you know, the kind who reads the ending of the book first...not surprisingly, I don't like surprises) and some of the battle scenes carry out over like six episodes, which is kinda ridiculous, but I'm hoping that I'll find it has the same balance between action and dialogue/relationship exploration that InuYasha managed so beautifully. At any rate, that's definitely what I was doing from 11PM to the wee hours of the morning yesterday.
Yeah, I know, my life is boring as hell.
Sorry again about the lame post, I shall hopefully redeem myself through an exhibition of cynicism rife with unsurpassed wit, sarcasm, charm and class this evening. Until then,
Ciao.
